Easy Sweet Chilli Chicken Wings

Who doesn't love a generous plate of sticky, spicy, slightly sweet chicken wings, definitely not me! This is incredibly easy and perfect when hosting a crowd, they cook quickly and are sure to be a hit for everyone.

Ingredients

1kg chicken wings cut into wingette and drummette
salt and pepper to taste
2 cups sweet chilli sauce
1 chilli diced (adjust amount depending on your preference and how strong the chillis are)
1 tbsp soy sauce
1/2 cup lime/lemon juice

 Method:

  1. Line an oven tray with aluminium foil.
  2. Season with salt and pepper and arrange the chicken on the tray allowing some space between each piece.
  3. Bake in the oven at 200 deg C for about 30 minutes or until they are cooked through and slightly golden brown.
  4. Mix the sweet chilli sauce, chilli, soy sauce and lime/lemon juice in a seperate bowl large enough to hold the chicken.
  5. Put all the chicken into the sweet chilli marinade sauce and toss ensuring all the pieces are covered.
  6. Put the chicken back onto the oven tray and broil/grill for about 10 minutes until the wings are slightly crispy and the sauce has caramelised.
