Hi everyone!
Happy Spring to everyone south of the equator! I love this new season, it represents all things new, fresh and beautiful and I really hope you will take advantage of the awesome weather and get out to picnics, braais/barbeques.. whatever you do, get out, do something new and fun!
So I thought it would be appropriate to share this meatball recipe.
Serves 4
350g Minced beef
1tsp dried mixed herbs
1tsp cajun spice
salt and pepper
1 slice bread
1/4 cup milk
1/4 cup finely chopped onion
1/4 cup finely chopped red pepper
Vegetable oil to shallow fry
Barbeque sauce for basting
1. Tear up the slice of bread and mix it with the milk.
2. Mix all the ingredients together in a bowl.
3. Shape balls that are about 4cm in diameter out of the mince mixture.
4. Fry in the oil on medium heat to ensure that the outside of the meatballs don't burn before the inside is cooked.
5 When they are cooked through, set aside and baste with some barbeque sauce.
I really hope you try and enjoy this recipe. You can have them with spaghetti or on kebabs (like I did).
Please comment and share what variations you enjoy when making meatballs.
